Ultrafemme’s Guillermo Flores solves your beauty problems with his expert advice

Dear Guillermo,
“I have lots of parties to go to this season, but I am worried aboutmymakeup lasting all night long and successfully covering up any blemishes. I would also like to add a bit of sparkle tomylook, but I don’t want to go over the top. What would you recommend?”
Ana.

Dear Ana,
For a long-lasting makeup try Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra—it promises to last up to eight hours with no touching up needed.

To highlight your eyes, the new Autumn/Winter makeup collections would be the perfect choice—they are all available at Ultrafemme stores. I would suggest that you visit the Chanel and Dior counters where one of our Makeup Wizards would be glad to offer you expert advice to help you find the best eyeshadow to suit your skin tone. Ana, the key to not overdoing your makeup is to go lightly on the blush.

Cheekbones and cheeks should have a subtle dust of color this season—try Estée Lauder’s beautiful pinks and peaches.

Velvety textures will add a little drama to your lips and the hottest colors at the moment are bold reds through to magenta and dark wines—slick on Rouge Pure from YSL or Wanted Rouge by Helena Rubinstein.

To minimize imperfections, such as spots and blemishes, only use a small drop of liquid concealer over the affected area and then dab foundation lightly with your fingers. If you want to cover dark circles, always remember to apply the concealer after your foundation. Stick concealer should be used exclusively for imperfections and shouldn’t be used to cover undereye circles—Shiseido has a variety of great options. If you have problem skin I recommend that you try using a Biotherm purifying mask twice a week and you won’t have to worry about covering imperfections again because you’ll have perfect skin—I hope you have lots of fun at all of your parties.
